WWE announced that The Rock will return to television screens on the 7th January edition of Monday Night Raw. He will also appear at the Smackdown TV taping the following night.
This is obviously the first step towards his involvement in this year's Royal Rumble where he will face CM Punk for the WWE championship.
I always like the start of the year in wrestling as everything seems to lead to WrestleMania.
The likely scenario is The Rock will win the title at the Royal Rumble and then head to WrestleMania and square off against John Cena in a rematch from their 'once in a lifetime' bout from WrestleMania XXVIII.
