Old Faces

I enjoyed WWE's 100th edition of Monday Night Raw, even if it was possibly the 999th episode.

The show featured a load of stars from the past. Not only did they bring back old faces, they built towards new matches.

It was announced that The Rock will wrestle whomever is the WWE Champion at the Royal Rumble in January. This indicates to me that John Cena vs The Rock will be the championship match at WrestleMania XXIX.

CM Punk turned heel following his bout with Cena on Monday. He also attacked The Rock in the post-match fracas so it's highly likely that it will be Punk versus Rock at the Rumble.

WWE did a great job on Monday. Now they have to fill three hours of Monday night television every week. That could be a harder task for them.
