ITV did a rundown of the nation's favourite number one this past weekend. The final ten songs are currently being voted on and the overall winner will be revealed on Sunday.
Before I continue, I think it's best if I preface that I did not watch the show and have no intention of watching the follow-up this Sunday. However, I am intrigued as to which song will be the winner.
I see Adele and Whitney Houston on the list and I'm concerned that either 'Someone like you' or 'I will always love you' will be victorious due to Adele and Houston being in the news during 2012.
Ideally, a historical song like 'Imagine' by John Lennon or Queen's 'Bohemian Rhapsody' would be at the top. If I wanted to vote, it would go to either of those two.
The final ten are:
Abba – 'Dancing Queen'
Adele – 'Someone Like You'
The Beatles – 'Hey Jude'
Britney Spears – '...Baby One More Time'
John Lennon – 'Imagine'
Kylie Minogue – 'Can't Get You Out Of My Head'
Michael Jackson – 'Billie Jean'
Oasis – 'Don't Look Back In Anger'
Queen – 'Bohemian Rhapsody'
Whitney Houston – 'I Will Always Love You'
