I recorded The Smurfs movie last week and finally got around to watching it over the weekend.
Before you decide to raise your eyebrows at my choice in film viewing - I watched it because I thought my young nephew would have liked seeing it. Problem is - when I suggested the film to him, the near three year old proceeded to tell me about the film.
He informed me about a 'bad man chasing them' which led me to the conclusion that he had seen it before.
We got to near the end and then turned to me and asked to watch something else because he thought it was 'boring'.
I didn't find it boring. I didn't find it great. It was blah.
I'm old, though.
Later in the evening, my other nephew didn't have anything to do so I asked if he'd like to see a film. We had been watching films from an 1980s movie DVD boxset a number of years ago and he asked if he could watch something from that. His choice - Ferris Bueller's Day Off.
He absolutely loved it so I guess it's safe to say that the movie still holds up today.
