I watched the revamped WWE NXT yesterday afternoon and thought it was a very good show.
The original concept of NXT was to be like a reality-based television show which showcased up-and-coming wrestlers that had been signed to developmental deals with World Wrestling Entertainment. The relaunch does have the newer faces. However, it doesn't have the competition element to it.
The series is filmed at Full Sail University in Florida. Students from the university work on the production of the show. I think this in itself makes the show stand out apart from what we usually see on other WWE broadcasts.
The hour long episodes are a throwback to the olden days of professional wrestling television with short matches and promos.
I'll continue watching because I think they're on to something here.
