Big Fish, Little Fish

By the time this gets posted, Brendan Rodgers could be the new manager of Liverpool F.C.

The coach did a superb job at Swansea City making them the first Welsh side to win promotion to the Premier League last May.

He managed to keep the team afloat in the league this year so he was definitely doing something right.

The problem I can see is this - at Swansea he was a big fish in a small pond. It's going to be a different story at Anfield.

Rumour is Louis van Gaal is about to appointed sporting director of Liverpool. So, technically speaking, he would be above Rodgers in the chain of command. When you see a system like that in place, you can bank on there being trouble on the horizon.

I guess that's what happens when you take on a job like that.

Isn't that right, Mr. Hodgson?
