The Sack

I was walking down the road the other day and an old man, who happened to be walking beside me, turned and said 'He's got the sack, you know?'

I didn't know who the guy was speaking to so looked around and realised he was talking to me.

Thinking he must have been talking about a football manager or something I asked 'who?'

'Father Christmas,' was his response.

He walked off laughing as I chuckled to myself.

I walked right into that one didn't I?

Such an old joke and I cannot believe I fell for it.
