I was finally able to watch the interview portion of the new WWE Blu-ray - Greatest Rivalries : Shawn Michaels .vs. Bret Hart - and thought it was great.
The former fiends were reunited for an over two hour discussion on their intertwining careers.
The interviewer was Jim Ross. He was an ideal choice as he was one of the higher-ups in the company when Michaels and Hart's on and off-air feud was at its peak.
The film was split up in a number of portions and each segment had a narrated video sandwiched in between just to give better detail in how these two were professionally.
It got emotional at times with both Hart and Michaels shedding tears as they talked about their animosity.
'The Montreal Screwjob' was obviously what the main topic of the interview and nothing new was introduced. Both parties said the same as what has been said in other interviews. The only thing that made what was said even more unique was because they were both sitting there together this time around.
The thing that I have always thought about Hart and Michaels and their evident hatred of each other back in the day was pretty much there right in front of me throughout the entire piece: Their lives and careers were so similar yet were different at the same time.
If that makes sense.
