It's the Britain's Got Talent final tonight and I think it's time to return to the rant I went on about the show a number of weeks ago.
I had finally given up on the programme after the episode where a drumming act - The Highwaymen - were rejected but then, after protestations from the audience and Ant & Dec Amanda Holden did a speech claiming they were listening to the 'fourth judge' and reversed the decision to send the men home.
It was reality TV at it's very worst. I switched off there and then vowing that I would turn it back on when the live semi-finals were taking place.
Only my disillusionment with BGT was furthered when The Highwaymen didn't even make it to the next round.
They went to all that effort to do the faux-controversy and then not have them in there?
Stupid.
