Unless my calculations and eyes deceive me, I think this is the fifth year of continuous posts on this blog.
I first started doing this on January 1st 2006 but didn't commit to daily posts. I simply posted when I felt like it. After a while, I realised I had been posting daily so decided to keep going and see how far I could go.
I've had some close scrapes with missing deadlines be it almost forgetting to post or - just earlier this year - being stuck in a major twelve-plus hour power cut.
If I am to be honest - there have been times when I have phoned it in just to get another post up to keep the streak intact. There are also days when I have absolutely nothing to write about which must come across as boring to new visitors. I understand that, but I do this blog more for myself than anything. It's my own little mark I am leaving on the world.
You never know, in centuries from now, school and college students could be looking at blog posts as part of their English Literature courses.
Equinoxx could be the new Anon.
And you can quote me on that one.
