When it was announced that Kia Stevens had signed a contract with World Wrestling Entertainment, I was pleased.
The female wrestler had done a good job in TNA Wrestling and I felt she was mistreated at the end of her tenure.WWE - as far as I care - is where she can reach her full potential.
Vignettes of her began airing a number of months ago. In these videos, she was tearing off dolls heads symbolising how she was going to be coming in and going for all the pretty divas in WWE.
It was the perfect storyline. She looks like a monster heel and her going against the entire diva division was perfect.
She made her debut by attacking a number of the heel divas and stalking the babyfaces (most notably Kelly Kelly). It was building up well.
Until last Monday night.
Kharma made another appearance as most of the diva locker-room were in the ring and was circled by them. She then proceeded to have a panic attack in the middle of the ring as everyone looked on.
And then it was a commercial break and that was that.
I was baffled at what I had just seen. The company had spent the best part of two months building up a major heel and - for the first time in ages - I had been intrigued with where a female wrestling storyline was going.
Late the following evening, I found out that the angle was done as a way to halt the storyline as Kharma was going to take a number of months off.
Over nine months off, reportedly.
I didn't do too well at biology at GCSE but I did attend the important lessons. My C at Mathematics also means I can work out some calculations.
The WWE website has a story up promoting tonight's Raw (I'm posting this two hours before it starts) and they are promising a promo from Kharma.
I'm interested to see if her pregnancy - if it is the reason behind her lengthy time off - will be revealed on the show.
I wish Kia Stevens the best with the next few months and hope that she has a healthy baby.
The storyline may have been halted for a bit but I am confident that we'll see Kharma back eventually.
