Sam Allardyce is the new casualty in the 'new owner doesn't want old manager around' syndrome that seems to show up every so often in professional football.
Allardyce was a victim of this trend back in 2008 when Mike Ashley wielded the axe a few months after purchasing Newcastle United.
It was the wrong thing to do back then.
And Blackburn did wrong yesterday.
I'm sure he will land back on his feet with a good job somewhere.
Look for Roy Hodgson to be the next old manager to be fired by a new owner.
