The Circle

I had an 'EUREKA!' moment the other day when babysitting my nephew.

Whilst channel surfing and finding something that would entertain him he was motioning for me to look at his hand. He had his palm held upwards and was making a circle with the index finger on his other hand.

I sat there for a few seconds wondering why he was doing this.

And then it hit me.

The kid was asking me to put on his favourite show - In The Night Garden - where the opening scene has a young child asleep in bed with the parent doing the 'round and round the garden' circle on the child's palm.

I had felt like I had unlocked the gates to Fort Knox when I worked out what he was asking me to do. I immediately found the show on BBC iPlayer and he had this big grin on his face.

It was a fun moment.
