Mark Hughes To Fulham

It's looking like Mark Hughes has agreed to boss Fulham over the next two years.

I feel this is a decent choice of manager for the London-based club as Hughes is one of my favourite managers in football.

Okay, part of it may be because he is a fellow Welshman.

When he coached the Welsh team, he brought out the best in them and they played better than any Wales team I had seen before.

Or since.

His latest job at Manchester City saw him treated abysmally by the owners. They gave up on him too early, if you ask me.

I felt he was the ideal person to take the helm at Celtic earlier this year but the Scottish club decided to rely on Neil Lennon.

After their result this week, I wonder if they're regretting it now.

Celtic's lack of foresight is Fulham's gain.
