TNA Waves The White Flag

It's all over.

WWE won the second Monday Night War.

TNA announced last night that they will be moving their Impact television show back to Thursday nights. Their reasoning was because the fans had demanded it.

In reality, it was the inability to make any positive rating increase in opposition to the WWE Juggernaut - Monday Night Raw - which prompted TNA and Spike TV producers to move back to the time-slot that they had before embarking on their battle.

I've got a feeling that this is the beginning of the end of TNA.

Monday night competition was one of the things they saw in their future.

Many of the higher-ups felt that competing with Raw would signal a renaissance in the popularity of pro wrestling bringing back the mainstream buzz generated in the late-90's to early 2000's.

I'll also wager that this will be the cue for Hulk Hogan to get out of dodge.

He has a tendency to jump ship when things aren't looking good for him. After all the braggadocios talk of him going to war with Vince McMahon again, last night's news must have left a dent in his ego.
