On January 15th 2009, I dedicated a post to the departure of Victoria from WWE.
She was one of my favourite female wrestlers and - at that time - I assumed she was leaving wrestling for good.
Fortunately, Lisa Varon -her real name - landed in TNA. As WWE owned the copyright to her wrestling moniker, she was renamed 'Tara'.
Varon announced yesterday that she will now be leaving TNA after they tried to lowball her on a new contract price.
She claims that she joined TNA for a year because she felt that she had something left to give professional wrestling and took less money than she thought she deserved. Her recent negotiations fell apart with her asking for a little more than she was on for the initial contract.
It's another sad example of TNA bringing in, and paying big money, to big name stars and not looking after those who want to be paid a respectable amount of money and work for what they're worth.
It would be nice to see her return to WWE but I cannot see it happening.
