Yesterday

In the past, my Boxing Day posts usually detail how the previous day went.

And it's always positive.

Not this year!

I'll have to give December 25th 2009 the award for 'Worst Christmas Ever'.

My mother ended up dislocating her hip when preparing Christmas dinner and an ambulance was called. It took ninety minutes for them to arrive and she went in for an operation last night to fix it. They expect her to be in for a few days.

Crazy, huh?

Ironically, I had spent the last two to three days warning her about going out on the icy roads with the threat that if she did she could end up in hospital over Christmas.

Something trivial like bending over to pick something up went and did it, anyway.

Christmas dinner without my parents was weird.
