Umaga

It feels like we've been here before.

The former WWE wrestler, Umaga - real name Edward Fatu - died at 11pm UK time (Friday).

I first read that he had died at around eight but the story ended up being pulled and all that was written was he had been found unresponsive with blood running down his nose by his wife and was in a bad way at a hospital.

Then we were given the news that he had suffered a heart attack and that his life support machine had been switched off and it was only a matter of time before the inevitable.

The news then reached us that a second heart attack ended the Samoan Bulldozer's life.

He had recently been on Hulk Hogan's tour of Australia which took place last week.

It was the first major work he had done since being fired from World Wrestling Entertainment in the summer of this year.

The reason behind his dismissal from WWE was due to his refusal to go into rehab to fix an addiction to painkillers.

It's easy to speculate on what could have caused the heart attacks today when you consider the company had let him go for major problems.

WWE made an announcement on their website and closed their release ensuring everyone knows that he had left the company earlier this year.

On one side, it seems like they are washing their hands yet on the other you can see they need to do this in order to stop the news being reported that a 'WWE wrestler has died'.

It's a catch 22.

With all that said, it's another wrestler who has died way before they should have.

And that's sad.
