If you're a regular reader of this blog, you are probably aware that I have made it a personal mission to read novels by Rick Mofina after I read two of his most recent books. I have now started right from the beginning and finished his debut novel - If Angels Fall.
Unfortunately, I wasn't as keen on this one as I was of Six Seconds and Vengeance Road.
This novel is set in San Francisco and centres on two characters one a detective, the other a reporter and how their professions are married together because of a murder that happened one year earlier as well as a series of present child abductions.
I can't put a finger on why I didn't like it as much as Mofina's most recent stories. What I will offer as a positive is, as this was a debut, he has certainly improved because I wouldn't have bothered reading this one had the other two failed to impress me.
With all that said, it's still a decent story but there's something missing that didn't make me like it as much as I could have.
