A Fantasy WWE Roster

I have taken part in a fantasy WWE roster contest on a message board that I am a member of for the past few months and the new season begins tonight.

We have a draft to select the wrestlers so it was quite a task to get all of the stars I had on my shortlist.

Here are the guys on my team and the reasoning behind my choosing of them:

John Cena
The world champion gets you more points and so does being in the final match on TV shows and Pay-Per-Views. I had the first overall pick and it would have been unwise of me to pass him up.

Jack Swagger
During a promo a few weeks ago, he vowed to win every match until the end of the year. This led me to believe he would win every match until the final show of 2009 so it's worth it to ride the streak. Let's hope the WWE writers haven't given up on this idea since the vow!

Shawn Michaels
I couldn't believe he was still available in the third round of the draft. I can see a possible tag team title victory on the horizon so is worth a spot on my roster.

Yoshi Tatsu
I don't know much about ECW as I don't watch it but he was in the main event of this week's show so I thought I'd put him in.

Sheamus
This Irish wrestler has just been moved to Raw and is bound to be in for a big push. Triple H is high on the guy - that's good enough for me.

Booker T
Rumour is he is coming back to WWE. I added him because I ran out of people on my shortlist and thought it would be a controversial pick that may turn to be a good one should he arrive within the next three months.
