Breeders' Cup 2009

I decided to have a little flutter on this year's Breeders' Cup as I was given a number of tips from a poster on the View From Vegas message board.

I got my Father to go halves we me and we ended up breaking even but it was a fun two days.

On Friday night, we did a Lucky 63 bet worth £10.08. Four of the six horses placed in the each-way betting and we returned £25.63.

For last night's races, we had done a £14.82 Goliath bet. Due to the success of the the night before - we were in a situation where we had everything to gain and nothing to lose.

The first horse of the evening placed so it started off well. Unfortunately, by the end of the evening, we only had one more win so ended up the evening with 13p in the account.

I'll definitely have another go next year.
