As it is the anniversary of the day I went to see my first American wrestling show - WCW's Halloween Havoc 1993 tour - I think it's the right time to share my thoughts on the latest WWE DVD which chronicles the history of the promotion.
If you're looking for the honest history of the Rise and Fall of WCW you're not going to get it in this DVD.
Don't get me wrong - it's worth seeing. I just feel you don't get the full story of how World Championship Wrestling rose to prominence before its implosion in early 2001.
It's impossible to tell the story in the time dedicated to the documentary portion of this DVD-set but there were some interesting things in the piece.
I was surprised Bill Goldberg took part as I was always under the impression he was on bad terms with WWE after he left the company in 2004.
What was also ridiculous was the inclusion of Mike Graham. If you were to believe everything this guy said, it was he who came up with all of WCW's winning ideas such as bringing Hulk Hogan in during the mid-90s. He played a small part in WCW but his braggadocios statements should have made the editing room floor.
The best part of the set is the two other discs containing some of the best matches the company gave us during its life. It's a shame we couldn't have had more.
They say whoever wins a war gets to write the history books - this DVD is the proof to the rule.
