Sunday's Finish

This coming Sunday, WWE will be debuting their new pay-per-view titled Breaking Point.

The concept of this new PPV is for the key bouts to feature submission matches. Obviously WWE's attempt to tap into the mixed martial arts market.

There is one match on this card that has got me intrigued and it is the World championship match between CM Punk and his challenger, The Undertaker.

You see, Punk needs to walk out of this thing as champion as this feud needs enough legs to run to the next speciality pay-per-view, Hell in a Cell.

The Undertaker cannot give up, either. His character never surrenders plus he is coming back from a lengthy absence and his first match back has to be a win.

If you're finding it hard to decide which guy will walk out as winner, all you need to do is consider the city where this event is being held.

Montreal.

Most wrestling fans know the significance of this city. It was where Bret Hart got screwed by Vince McMahon after walking into his bout with Shawn Michaels under the assumption that the fight would end in a double disqualification as Hart had refused to lose in Canada in one of his final matches for the company.

The Montreal Screwjob ended up becoming one of the legendary finishes in the history of pro wrestling and has been copied on numerous times since that day in November 1997.

I have a feeling it will be repeated again this Sunday.

Vince McMahon hardly ever appears on Smackdown but he has in recent weeks. Look for Teddy Long - the general manager Vince has been critical of in this storyline - to screw The Undertaker in an attempt to please his boss.

Screwjob angles never get across so well because of one major detail- the Bret Hart one was real.
