Watching Extreme Rules

I enjoyed Extreme Rules on Sunday night.

It was the first time in ages that I had watched a pay-per-view in my living room. I had been watching them in my bedroom for the last few years but I thought I would go 'old school' this time and watch it on the bigger screen.

The end, which saw CM Punk cash in his 'money in the bank' briefcase and get a title shot against Jeff Hardy, came out of the blue.

I am usually sitting - or laying - there wondering whether Punk will cash in his contract near the end of each main event but this time I had subconsciously eradicated it from my thoughts as the PPV had gone on longer than they usually do.

If I were WWE, I would have Punk work as a heel now. This was the perfect opportunity to make him hated by having him rob Jeff Hardy of the title he had only won a minute earlier.

Brilliant stuff.
