For those interested in that tipping contest I mentioned on here last week, I managed to secure promotion to the next league.
My treble bet on Barcelona, Chelsea and Rangers failed as the Spaniards didn't win their game.
Luckily for me, the other two people in this tipping league who were nearly neck-and-neck with me decided to strategically sit out this weekend's games and managed to secure first and second place respectively. I, on the other hand, dropped down from second to third to garner the final promotional spot.
It was a bittersweet promotion, I could have been pipped to the third place by anyone below me in the league especially after deciding on going all-out to win the first prize of fifty pounds rather than playing it safe and gunning for promotion.
The next season runs from August to around October and I will be challenging for sixty pounds.
It took me four years to get to the upper echelon of this competition. Let's hope I don't get relegated in my first attempt at winning the bigger prize.
