There are hundreds, and I mean hundreds, of bets available on tonight's Super Bowl and I'm going to share with you the six I have placed on the game.
Prop bets are crazy.
I have heard there is one market that a Vegas odds maker accepts on the total points being over or under a specific number. That sounds normal, doesn't it? What would you say, though, if I were to tell you this number is generated by what the temperature is at the moment the initial kick-off is made?
I've done some crazy bets in my time but that example is ludicrous.
I have a feeling Arizona will win the game so I've placed a free five pound bet I had with Sky Bet on Arizona to win straight up.
I've also placed a small wager on the handicap as the Cardinals have a 6.5 point head-start on Pittsburgh.
As for the props, I've placed bets on:
* Kurt Warner to throw for over 257.5 yards
* Edgerrin James to rush for over 44.5 yards
* Larry Fitzgerald to make 90.5 receiving yards
The prop that I fancy the most is for Arizona to be the team which receives the initial kick-off. I believe that, if the Steelers win the coin toss, they will want their defence to start the game and will allow Arizona to begin with the ball.
I've only spent five pounds on these bets. I'm only in it for a laugh tonight. After the season I had, can you blame me?
