Crazy Money

There is a lot of crazy money being thrown around during this transfer window period in the Premier League.

And Manchester City are the main culprits.

Today, the news claims they are set to offer Kaka a deal only a nutcase would refuse.

AC Milan were offered £100 million for the Brazilian. His wages would be set at around £280,000 a week which would be hard for Kaka to turn down.

I have a feeling it will result in Milan declining the offer but it will entice Kaka to ask to be released because the carrot dangling before him will be too tempting.

I personally think signing him is a waste of money. Don't get me wrong - he's a brilliant player. I just cannot understand why Manchester City are splashing the cash on big names in certain positions in their squad when they have decent but not world-class players taking up space on other parts of the team. It's an imbalance that will be costly in the long-run.

What are the odds on this Manchester City takeover becoming one of the biggest flops in the history of football?
