Following the success I had in betting on a red card in the Celtic vs Rangers game earlier this season, I decided to follow suit again.
This time, I failed.
The previous meeting ended with two red cards so I got more than I needed.
The bookies must have taken a hit in that game as they offered odds at 3/1 that either team would get a red, they also had bets where you could back 'both teams to get a red' at something like 15/1. I noticed the odds this time around were 5/2 for either team and 14/1 for both.
Anyway, my fiver investment didn't get anywhere. There was only a small amount of yellows handed out let alone the elusive red I needed to win.
I guess the Old Firm were in the Christmas spirit or the ref had given enough cards out to his friends and family.
Bah, humbug.
