Amir Is No Draw

I don't think Amir Khan is as much of a pay-per-view draw than Sky would like us all to think.

Tonight, he faces Oisin Fagan in his second bout on the network. His first ended up being a disaster as he was knocked out in round one to Breidis Prescott in September.

As a way of enticing people to purchase this event, Sky have added a few other fights to the card as well as adding the Oscar de la Hoya fight which takes place in the early hours of tomorrow morning.

When they're throwing out the 'Amir Khan with supporting cast' type advertising you know the real sellers will be the others names like Audle... Well, like De la Hoya for instance.

Khan has failed to impress the public. His last display left a sour taste in the mouths of those who purchased the fight. Sky know this and that's why they strengthened the line-up with other named fighters.

It's a sad state of affairs when your big signing needs to pop the buys.
