Yet another dreadful week.
I had four winners and six losers. There were a few close calls but - as Gorilla Monsoon would say - 'close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades'. I still don't understand the 'horseshoes' reference in that quote and here is not the place to even wonder.
1) Stoke City vs Arsenal OVER 2 goals
2) Newcastle United vs Aston Villa OVER 2 goals
3) Almeria vs Real Madrid OVER 2 goals
4) Minnesota -4.5
5) NY Jets @ Buffalo OVER 41.5 points total
6) Philadelphia @ Seattle OVER 42.5 points total
7) NY Giants -9
8) Indianapolis -6
9) Washington -2
10) Athletico Madrid vs Mallorca OVER 2 goals
My strike rate has dropped down to 52.5% which is not good. The win-loss-void standings are 42-38-1.
With the mid-season point being passed and the losses coming in thick and fast, I need to change my approach because this is eating away at my profits. I initially thought that the ten selections at 2p a line was a great idea and it was when I first started it as it was a profitable week. It has gone downhill since. I have decided that, if the ten selection bet doesn't work this week, I'll change my approach in order to protect the profit I have already generated. I'm also upping the ante this week and doing 3p stakes. If I am changing the staking plan next week I may as well raise it a little for this week in a last ditch attempt to make the ten selection idea successful.
Week 9 stats:
Stake = £20.46
Returns = £1.32
Profit/Loss = -19.14
Overall stats:
Stake = £168.94
Returns = £261.67
Profit/Loss = +92.73
Week 10's selections are:
1) New England -3.5
2) Miami -9
3) Crewe
4) Morecambe
5) Aston Villa
6) West Ham v Everton OVER 2 goals
7) Blackburn v Chelsea OVER 2 goals
8) Kilmarnock v Rangers OVER 2 goals
9) Celtic v Motherwell OVER 2 goals
10) Baltimore @ Houston OVER 42 points total
£30.69 block (1023 bets at 3p a line)
