Gloria Taylor

I was sorry to hear about the death of Gloria Taylor.

You may recall that in 2000, her young son - Damilola - was killed by a bunch of thugs as he walked home from a library in the area of Peckham where they lived.

The Damilola Taylor death was one of the first stories I wrote about in my portfolio for my University course so it always caught my attention whenever I would read or hear about it in the news.

It seemed that the killers wouldn't be punished for their crime but were sentenced in 2006 after numerous trials.

I'm glad for her that she got some kind of justice in her lifetime.
