Well, Calzaghe did win this morning. I felt it was extremely close, though.
He was knocked down within the first minute and it looked ropey for the first few rounds. As I watched, these rounds were playing on my mind and I thought he was going to lose as the fight headed towards the twelfth round.
I breathed a sigh of relief when Michael Buffer announced that the third judge in the split decision had gone for Calzaghe.
It will be interesting to see what happens next. The current word going around is there will be a match against Roy Jones Jr.
I doubt the camp will be looking for part two of the Hopkins rivalry.
