What a weekend it was for the underdogs left in the FA Cup.
When Manchester United and Chelsea were knocked out of the tournament on Saturday I had a feeling that the favourites would win on Sunday meaning Middlesbrough would beat Cardiff City.
How wrong I was!
Barnsley, Portsmouth and West Bromwich Albion now join Cardiff in the draw for the semi-finals at Wembley.
I think I would rather have Barnsley next. Yes, they beat Liverpool and Chelsea already but I think the Bluebirds would have a better chance against them to make it to the final in May.
One thing I do know is this is the closest Cardiff will ever get to winning the FA Cup in my lifetime.
Afternoon Update - Cardiff City did draw Barnsley in the next round. I am now reminding myself of that famous saying about being careful what you wish for.
