The FA Cup had its fair share of surprises yesterday.
Barnsley knocked Liverpool out and Cardiff City made it to the quarter finals for the first time since 1927. May I also add the point that the last time Cardiff made it this far, they ended up winning the tournament.
Of course there are still a few big names out there. Manchester United looked awesome against the current Premeir League table toppers, Arsenal.
The draw for the next round will be held on Monday afternoon. It would be good to see Cardiff get a team like Barnsley so they can progress to the semis. But then again, it would be interesting to see Manchester United play at Ninian Park.
I am planning on returning here tonight with a fantasy draw. I'm going to put the team names in a hat and write down the matches that are picked out. We'll see how close I am with the fixtures when the actual draw takes place tomorrow.
Evening update -
Here are the predicted match-ups from the fantasy draw
Portsmouth v West Brom
Cardiff v Man Utd (I assure you, I did not fix this!)
Chelsea v Sheffield United/Middlesbrough
Bristol Rovers v Barnsley
