This coming Christmas is going to be the hardest yet!
My parents have been looking everywhere for a Nintendo Wii for Josh and have now resorted to his second choice gift - a Transformer.
The problem with option two is they have sold out as well.
I think these two items must be headed to become the most sought after gift this year as they are like gold-dust to find.
I'm sure they will find either one of them by the time the big day rolls around but, in the meantime, the stress and wait on delivery to the shops is harsh especially on my Mother who has gone out of her way in an attempt to secure the present.
It must have been even worse back when I was a child trying to get what I wanted from Father Christmas. We now live in an age where - if you want to know availability of something - all you need to do is look online.
The Internet has also been a bad thing as well, though.
People selling items on Amazon are asking for double the price on both the Wii and the Transformer Bumblebee. The thing that worries me about this is there are a lot of people out there desperate for one and will pay anything.
There's also the thought that some smart ass is out there taking these toys from the shelves with no intention of giving it to anyone unless they paid a ridiculous sum of money for it. The me from ten years ago would have applauded such cunning but now I feel for the genuine people who miss out.
