The Poker Loser

I am leafing through the current issue of World Poker Tour Magazine and there is an article called 'Secret Life of Poker Losers'.

It mentions that 'we all spend more time bragging about wins than owning up to our losses.'

Am I the exception to this rule?

I know I have mentioned about my wins via this blog but I am sure that I have also gone on record to claim how terrible my play has been on numerous occasions.

We all know how those damn queens have ruined me more than they have prevailed.

Just last night I was beaten to a pulp by rubbish when someone made a straight after calling my all-in raise with Jack, Six. I had AK and the lucky swine made the straight using his six.

I know where I went wrong.

The problem is - I will still play that hand the same the next time. I learn from my mistakes but on this occasion that opponent made the bigger mistake and got lucky. Nine times out of ten I would have walked away from that hand the winner.

I need more luck. That's what I need.
