I spent yesterday afternoon listening to Sports Byline radio and a show came on that had a gambling theme. As you have probably guessed by now - it caught my attention.
The host had a number of professional tipsters on and they were running down the baseball card of the evening and offering tips on the games.
I thought I would follow their suggestions so opened up a web browser as I listened and clicked in the boxes when they were analysing the form of both team and - using their foresight - predicted which team would be victorious.
The problem was - I couldn't decipher whether they were saying to bet against or for the team in question!
It was kind of like listening to a horoscope reading. It was a matter of the wording and how the sentences were deconstructed by my myself. Well, that's what I thought anyway.
The sports clairvoyants either had it wrong or I was listening incorrectly. My balance still read zero pounds this morning when I checked my betting account.
I think there will be less listening to tipsters in my future.
