I am fed up of bad beats.
Bad. Beats.
I was in a qualifier for the Poker Stars Sunday Million this morning and there were thirty-eight players. I was seated at a table with two other players and - ten minutes into the game - I was dealt a pair of aces.
The person to my left raised, I re-raised him and the big blind went all-in.
We were all ended up in the hand.
The opponent to my right showed a pir of tens, I displayed my cards and the other player had queens.
I don't really need to continue with the story, do I?
The flop didn't help any of us.
Nor did the turn.
At the point where the river card was about to be revealed I envisioned another queen coming out.
And it did.
I am getting fed up of being rivered. I am even more annoyed at the queens being the source of so much pain at the tables.
You can't live with them.
