I am admitting a misake here - Backlash was a brilliant event.
On Sunday I posted my doubts saying how the show wasn't interesting me. It seems I was wrong. Totally.
All the matches were great to amazing. Even the women put on a good bout. The first time in a long time there was a female match that was more than a display of - pardon the pun - T 'n' A.
This is definitely how a wrestling show should be.
But.
While listening to comments made in a wrestling chatroom last night it struck me that there are viewers out there who aren't 'wrestling' fans. They seem to be critical of the current trend in the business to highlight performace over the bag of tricks that is usually put into running television and pay-per-view shows.
I even heard someone claim they felt ripped off after purchasing the event.
What!?
If you're feeling cheated after buying a wrestling pay-per-view event and finding the show consisted of long matches and gereat story-telling then I have one suggestion.
Keep your wallet in your pocket and walk on. You aren't a 'wrestling' fan.
