I was on the MSN website yesterday and there was an article titled '1997 versus 2007'. Its main content featured the changes in the decade since Tony Blair took over of Number Ten.
I probably remember it just as much as Mr Blair.
On the day he took office I was celebrating my eighteenth birthday.
It really does seem an age ago. Well, it is. A lot has changed since. Not just for me; but the world in general.
The night of my eighteenth birthday was a moment I was anticipating for a long time. I had been going to nightclubs for years using fake identification. The moment I turned eighteen those nights where I was gambling on making it through those doors were over. I was legal.
It kind of took the fun away if I am to be honest.
So, here I am, ten years later and there is one thing that will be learnt from today's message - It's better to look forward to hitting eighteen than it is to reach twenty-eight!
