Passing Judgment

It's the WWE's Judgment Day pay-per-view tonight. The event is going to be live on Sky Box Office at 1am.

I can't be bothered purchasing the show. Not after the last time I ordered a WWE PPV.

I think I'll do the trick of watching it online and then buy the DVD when it is released in a few months. I save money that way as well as get a proper copy of the event and still get to watch it live.

The card is going to be an interesting one for a number of reasons.

Shawn Michaels injured his knee on Friday night. It looks serious enough that his match with Randy Orton is in jeapordy. Word is he is planning on gutting out a performance but a hiatus is on the horizon.

John Cena versus Great Khali has the potential to be the worst wrestling match of the year. How the giant has been pushed to the main event baffles me. I hope the Smackdown title is the last show of the night because it could and should be a few steps better than this one.

The Smackdown world title match will pit the new champion, Edge, against Batista. The latter has had a good run of bouts against The Undertaker recently so Edge will be in the position where he has to prove that match quality was not a fluke. I hope these two do well. It is the only world title match with a chance of being good.

One final thought - Why haven't the WWE put an 'E' in Judgment?
