The Hotline

I decided to do something I vowed never to do today. I rang one of those tipping hotlines.

I thought - as it was Easter - I would folow the suggested bets on the Racing and Football Outlook's daily update. I had money to burn and so I lit the fire.

The following bets are those suggested on that hotline. If they win - thank me for posting them. If they lose - blame them!

I have done the following bets:

- £5 on Southampton to beat Luton Town

- £5 double on Charlton Athletic to beat Manchester City and Scunthorpe to beat Yeovil

- £10 on Cowdenbeath to win against Stranraer

- Lucky 15 £4.50 (30p a line) on these teams to draw: Arsenal, Albion Rovers, East Fife & East Sterlingshire

- Lucky 31 £7.75 (25p a line) on the following teams to win; Sheffield United, Leeds United, Southampton, Blackpool and Notts County

I have 'invested' £32.50 into this weekend's football. I will return in the next few days to see whether it was a success or not.
