I joined up and participated in my first tournament on Sky Poker last night.
I paid the £10 buy-in to play in the nine o'clock tourney called The Open where the game appears on the Sky Poker channel on cable and digital television.
There were two hundred and twenty entrants and I finished in two hunded and nineteenth place!
I got caught by a higher kicker card when I made a pair of queens as well as chasing the nut flush after making four spades after the flop. No other spade came out in fourth or fifth street.
The positive - I didn't finish last!
I will give it one more go tonight but I don't intend making this a nightly thing.
