Pay Per View (In The Future)

It is the final WWE pay-per-view of 2006 tomorrow night and I am using it as the guinea pig to test something I have been thinking about doing for a while now.

In the UK - Sky airs all the monthly Sunday events in a particular way. In one month they air the show on Sky Sports but the following month it presents the show on Sky Box Office charging £14.99.

I've had enough of paying the £14.99 every other month so I am now going to watch the event live over the internet via a chatroom I go in during the events. I am then going to preorder the DVD of the pay-per-view on the Silvervision website which will only cost me £9.99.

This way I save five pounds, I still see the PPV and I also get an original copy of the event rather than one taped from the television. The downside to this is I will have to wait two to three months until it is released but it's still better than shelling out £15 for an event that is hit or miss.

There are exceptions to this new rule, though.

I have a fondness for two events and these will be viewed on my home television so if they are going to appear on the Sky Box Office channel I will have to pay for them. These are, of course, the best two shows of the year. The Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania.

Any other event and Vince McMahon and Rupert Murdoch will not be making as much profit from me as they have done in the past!
