I get dealt Big Slick and lose with it. Then I go head to head against the Ace and King and lose to them.
There is no winning with this hand!
I was in a $2 sit-and-go and someone next to me had raised to ten times what the big blind was. I raised him an extra 400 chips and he called.
The flop had a jack and a queen so all I needed was a ten or, if luck was going to smile down on me, an ace or a king to give me top pair.
The guy called my all-in move. I know it was a semi-bluff but when he called and showed an ace and a ten I thought that I had won the hand.
Or so I thought.
A nine came out on the turn and my hope of qualifying for tonight's $20,000 tournament ended right there.
I keep looking back at key moments in tournaments and realise that whenever I go up against these AK's I hardly ever win and now when the shoe was on the other foot the result remains the same!
My two worst hands are offically a pair of queens and King - Ace.
