The Cup

It is the last time that the FA Cup will take place at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff and I am making sure I enjoy the day.

I haven't been able to soak up the atmosphere in the six times it has taken place in my city as I have either been at work during it or stuck at home unable to get there. So when I found out that Wembley would not be ready to host it this year I decided I had one last chance to enjoy the 'magic of the cup' so have booked the day off and me and my friends are off to town to watch it.

We aren't going to the stadium itself but are going to watch it in a pub but will be hanging around before and after kick-off to enjoy the day.

This could be my penultimate FA Cup for the time being, though. Next year I may be sitting at Wembley watching the game itself. This all depends on whether I get second place in that Gambling God competition.

But, after last night I have realised that I shouldn't really put my hopes on winning something until I am assured the victory. I'm still annoyed at how close I got to getting to the Grosvenor event and have now renamed myself the Tim Henman of Poker.

I'll just drown my sorrows this afternoon and hope West Ham win for me. If I can't win anything myself it's best to get some other underdog to do it for me!
