Rating Drink Powders IV

Welcome to the fourth edition of a series of posts in which I sample a selection of drink powders from the USA.

These powders are added to bottles of water to give your drink some flavour. I first became aware of them in May of this year when my friend gifted me a selection for my birthday. Following that, I've ordered boxes whenever I've bought American and Canadian groceries online.

Here are the five drinks I've tried, and rated, for this month's post.

Drink Powders

Wyler's Island Punch Chillin' Berry Limeade
I expected the liquid to turn out green because of this being 'limeade'. However, it was red.

There was a sweet berry taste followed by the sour lime after-kick. I suppose it was refreshing, but it was nothing special when all was said and done. I've tasted better.

Rating: ** 1/2

Wyler's Light Peach
I like peach flavoured drinks. I especially like peach Fanta that I've recently discovered. I wasn't too keen on this one, though.

I know it's meant to be 'Light', but the cherry version of Wyler's Light tasted somewhat strong when I tried it in the previous Rating Drink Powders post.

For this one, I have to go right down the middle. A mediocre taste gets a mediocre score.

Rating: ** 1/2

Jolly Rancher Cherry
As I've written many times, in these Rating Drink Powders posts, I like American cherry flavoured drinks because they bring me back to the first time I ever had a drink of Kool-Aid.

The same can be said of this Jolly Rancher Cherry powder. However, I have tried better cherry flavours in this series. This wasn't as strong as I would have liked.

Rating: ***

Tampico Mango Punch
I tried the Citrus Punch flavour from Tampico last month and gave it three stars. This mango flavour was a lot weaker, so I have to go under three.

Rating: **

Wyler's Island Punch Legendary Berry
The legendary berry flavour - in Wyler's Island Punch range - was a mild surprise. The reason why is because I did not like the orange flavour I tried last month and had low expectations.

With that said, it is miles away from being a contender to the crown held by Starburst Blue Raspberry.

It is certainly the best flavour I've tried this month. With that said - it didn't have much competition.

Rating: *** 1/4
