I was doing an Asda online shop yesterday and found myself staring at something I now desperately want.
It was a splash advert on the website for a couple of new McCoy's crisps flavours. One flavour is 'Secret Burger Sauce' while the other is 'Blazin' Buffalo Chicken Wings'.
The new flavours would have caught my attention as it was. However, something else sealed it.
Do you see what I see?
Yep - the NFL shield appears on each packet.
I clicked on the image to go to the page on the website to add the crisps to my trolley. Unfortunately, I was met with a notice to say the page was unavailable. That's what happens when the items aren't in stock at my local store, so it seems like I'll just have to hang tight for a while. I'm locked in for this mission to find them, however.
I was able to dig around the Internet. KP Snacks sent out a press release on July 25th. It reads:
For the start of its second season as Savoury Snacks Partner of the NFL UK and Ireland, McCoy's has launched two new NFL-inspired flavours: Blazin’ Buffalo Chicken Wings and Secret Burger Sauce.
Available now in 6-pack multipacks (6x25g), these bring to life some classic American flavours as well as delivering McCoy’s’ signature crunch. From the beginning of August, Blazin’ Buffalo Chicken Wings will also launch in a 65g pack for the Convenience & Impulse retail channel, price marked at £1.35.
Perfect for a gameday snack, Blazin’ Buffalo Chicken Wings brings the tangy zest of buffalo sauce and savoury chicken, and Secret Burger Sauce delivers a rich, tangy, and creamy burger-inspired flavour.
An exciting NFL-themed promotion will run on pack across the whole McCoy’s range from 4 August to 9 November. The top prize is an all-expenses-paid trip to Super Bowl LX, which is scheduled to be played on 8 February 2026, at Levi’s Stadium in California. Shoppers will also have the chance to win tickets to the 2025 NFL London Games and official NFL merchandise, alongside cash prizes.
Amy Heap, Marketing Manager at McCoy’s, says: “We are thrilled to be celebrating our massive partnership with the NFL with these two bold new McCoy’s flavours, capitalising on the brand’s reputation for exciting flavour innovation."
McCoy’s is also extending its ‘It’s Crunch Time’ ad campaign, with a 30-second spot that will continue to run via Video On Demand (VOD), alongside a new national out-of-home campaign that launched in June 2025.
