One week from now, it'll all be over.
The Super Bowl would have been played (fingers crossed) and either Tom Brady - and his new team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers - or the Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs will be champions.
Even though, and I've gone on record as saying such, that it isn't a Super Bowl I would have liked to have seen, I am somewhat excited just to see how it plays off.
The Chiefs are looking for back-to-back Super Bowl wins and the story of Tom Brady's journey away from New England to making a Super Bowl in his first season as a Buc is compelling.
I've read some say that this Super Bowl is a battle between two G.O.A.Ts. It's far too early to consider Mahomes one of the greatest of all time. For now. But Sunday might be another step in that direction for Mahomes.
With that said, I think Brady winning another Super Bowl - with the new team, and in a new conference - is the story I think I'd prefer more. For now.
