I watched the first season of Wayward Pines when it aired last year. I struggled through it, but held on to the end.
This year, the show returned for a second outing. I'm struggling once again.
I missed a couple of episodes, so decided to watch them back-to-back. I only managed one and a half before tapping out for the time being.
The series is based on the Wayward Pines novels. It's set in the future when the civilians of the town are the only humans left on earth. They're guarded by an electric fence. On the other side of this perimeter is a herd of aberrations or 'Abbies' that are - I suppose - the top of the food chain in the future.
As I noted, the first season was okay to start off with. I did struggle to enjoy it. This year's version is more like a spin-off from the novels and the cast isn't as strong.
I'm not going to quit on it. It'll take some time, but I'll finish watching it. Eventually.
